Power was cut to Anderson Island today from about 2:30 p.m. until roughly 7:45 p.m., according to Tanner Electric Cooperative.

The outage happened when some Puget Sound Energy service was affected on the mainland, according to Tanner.

Puget Sound Energy said about 6:30 p.m. that crews were removing a large tree from an overhead transmission line in Thurston County.

About 7,000 customers were affected by the Thurston outage, according to the agency.
