A woman who fell out of her kayak on the Green River Sunday and later died has been identified by the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Elizabeth Gould, 45, fell out of her kayak about 1:30 p.m. near Black Diamond, and was taken to an Auburn hospital. She died Monday.

The cause of her death was ruled freshwater drowning.

Deputies said she had some experience kayaking rivers, and was wearing a helmet and life jacket.
