Staff became concerned when a man walked into Frederickson Elementary School today and asked to make a phone call, spokeswoman Krista Carlson said.
“When they tried to tell him: ‘No, our phones are not for public use,’ the way he presented himself just didn’t sit well with our staff,” she said.
They called a School Resource Officer, who arrested the man, and in the process found a BB gun on his person, Carlson said.
“Mostly, the reason why we called was because he was acting disgruntled, and I guess he was not very organized in what he was saying,” she said. “There was just a concern with his overall conduct.
Carlson said the school notified parents of the incident.
