Deputies arrested three suspects today in a string of early morning robberies of a coffee stand and convenience stores throughout Pierce County, sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.

Three of the businesses were in Pierce County and one was in Tacoma, Troyer said.

The first robbery was just before 5:30 a.m. and the suspects were in custody within an hour, he said.

The 7-Eleven at 9517 Steele St. in Tacoma, Walgreens at 15225 Pacific Ave. S. in Spanaway, 7-Eleven at 15202 Meridian Ave. E. in South Hill, and Bikini Bottoms Espresso at 7919 176th St. E. in the unincorporated county just outside South Hill were all robbed, Troyer said.

The suspects, all men, were arrested after deputies stopped the vehicle they were traveling in at 140th Street Court East and Meridian Avenue East, Troyer said. The men are also being investigated for other crimes, including prior robbery, he added.
