From news partner KIRO-TV:

Two kayakers were pulled from the Green River in separate incidents this afternoon, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

A woman in her 40s fell out of her kayak about 1:30 p.m. near Black Diamond, and a 23-year-old Kent man fell from his kayak about 2:30 p.m  at Kanaskat Palmer State Park.

The woman was taken to the hospital in Auburn in critical condition.

Deputies said she had some experience as a river kayaker and was well-equipped with a helmet and life jacket.

A marine unit got the man out, and he was unharmed.

He had on a life jacket on, but had never been in a kayak before, deputies said.
