Two men are in jail tonight after allegedly robbing a Tacoma real estate business and leading police on a short pursuit.

The robbery occurred about 6:30 p.m. at a business near South 38th Street and South Yakima Avenue. During the holdup, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said the gunman snatched an employee’s purse and stole her car from the parking lot.

A second man jumped into the car as they sped away.

Officers quickly located the stolen vehicle and gave chase to South 56th Street and South Yakima Avenue before the alleged robbers struck several parked cars near 38th and Fawcett Avenue and tried to flee on foot.

One of the men was immediately arrested. The second was taken into custody after a police dog tracked him a few houses down.
