UPDATE as of 6:21 p.m.: Puyallup police said Dildine was found safe about 6:15 p.m. in the 500 block of 4th Street Northwest.

A resident who had received a reverse 911 call about the missing man recognized him and called 911.

INITIAL POST: Puyallup police said volunteer searchers will be going door-to-door in the neighborhood where a 71-year-old man is reportedly missing and asking permission to search properties.

David Dildine was last seen about 11:15 a.m. Thursday at his home in the 900 block of 15th Avenue Southwest. His identification, credit cards, medication and vehicles were left at his house.

Police said foul play is not suspected.

Crews are searching a heavily wooded area near Dildine’s home and a King County sheriff’s helicopter is assisting. Volunteers have already looked in Clark’s Creek.

Dildine is white, 5-feet-11 and 200 pounds with hazel eyes. He may have been wearing grey jeans and brown leather slip-on shoes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
