Person found dead in house fire east of Auburn

UPDATE as of 6:55 p.m. A neighbor called 911 about 1 p.m. to report that the home was on fire, King County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Cindi West said. Investigators found a man’s body inside after crews put out the fire, West said.  The man has not yet been identified. The home was apparently fully engulfed in flames when Mountain View Fire & Rescue firefighters arrived, West said.

Officials are working to determine what caused the blaze.

INITIAL POST: A person was found dead in a house fire east of Auburn today, King County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Cindi West said about 3:45 p.m.

The fire happened in the 19500 block of Green Valley Road Southeast.

Further details were not immediately available. Check back for updates.
