A man who went into the Krispy Kreme doughnut store near the Tacoma Mall after being shot Saturday night suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, Tacoma police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.

Patrons said the man entered the store about 10 p.m. at 4302 Tacoma Mall Blvd., saying: “I’ve been shot, I’ve been shot.”

Cool said it initially appears the victim and suspect were meeting and that there was a dispute that ended with the shooting.

She could not immediately provide further information about the victim or where he was shot, and said there was not yet suspect information to release.
