Medical emergency may be cause of fatal crash in Tacoma

UPDATE: The man has been identified as 62-year-old Samuel Davis of Tacoma by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

INITIAL POST: A man died Tuesday night after he lost control of his vehicle and it went down an embankment in Tacoma.

The accident happened about 10:15 p.m. at South Tacoma Way and Pacific Avenue.

Police said the driver may have had a medical emergency, causing him to lose control of the car in the 200 block of Delin Street, go down an embankment and land on South Tacoma Way.

The man has not yet been identified.
