He claimed he shot deer out his back door “all the time.”

The 22-year-old Lakewood man advertised the meat on Craigslist and agreed to meet with an undercover Fish and Wildlife detective in Seattle to hand over a blacktail doe. The first deal took place in November 2010.

The man sold the deer meat for $346.

They met again in September 2011, in Tacoma, and the man sold the detective an unskinned blacktail deer for $300.

On Thursday, Pierce County prosecutors charged the man with two counts of first-degree trafficking in wildlife and one count of second-degree unlawful hunting of big game.

Authorities said the man had not bought hunting licenses or tags for the 2011 season. The man has not yet been arraigned.
