UPDATE as of 1:12 a.m.: Seattle police found Snodgrass and his vehicle safe just after midnight.

INITIAL POST: An 85-year-old Federal Way man has been missing since noon Monday, according to police.

Edward Snodgrass was last seen leaving his home in the 32400 block of 44th Avenue South, wearing a plain blue baseball cap, green coat, black sweatshirt and black Dickies pants.

He was heading to an appointment at the Veterans Affairs clinic in Federal Way. A relative planned to drive him, but Snodgrass didn’t want to wait and took off in his 2002 white Chevrolet S10 truck, according to police.

He never made it to the appointment or back home.

Snodgrass suffers from diabetes and dementia, according to police, and it’s not known if he has insulin with him.

He may have gotten confused and gone to the American Lake VA Hosptial in Lakewood, officers said.

He is 5 foot 5 and 140 pounds and wears glasses. His truck has a cream colored stripe in the tailgate.

Anyone with information about Snodgrass is asked to call Federal Way Police at 253-852-2121, or to call 911.
