Crews responding to house fire outside Eatonville

UPDATE as of 1:35 p.m.: Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said the man who lived at the home set fire to it before going outside and shooting himself in a suicide attempt. He survived the shooting and was taken to Harboview Medical Center in Seattle for treatment, Troyer said. The fire is out.

PREVIOUS POST: Crews are battling a house fire in the 39000 block of 62nd Avenue Court East outside Eatonville.

One man was being airlifted from the scene, possibly with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said.
