Tips given to two baristas at a Kent drive-thru coffee shop weren’t just for espresso, according to police.

Officers arrested the women Wednesday after they allegedly committed lewd acts at Twin Peaks Espresso on Kent’s East Hill.

Police began investigating late last year after reports that women were exposing themselves and committing lewd acts for drive-up customers while working at the stand at 24013 104th Ave. SE.

The women were compensated in tips, paid for the coffee, that ranged from $10 to $25, according to police.

Other “bikini barista” stands in Kent were investigated, and were found to be operating lawfully, officers said.

A 23-year-old Montlake Terrace woman was arrested Wednesday for investigation of prostitution at the coffee shop. Officers arrested a 19-year-old Lynnwood woman later that day for investigation of violating Kent’s Adult Entertainment ordinance.

The women were booked into the Kent Corrections Center.

The investigation of employees at the business is ongoing, according to police.
