A Seattle man was injured today when his car hit the barrier of southbound Interstate 5 in Federal Way and eventually hit the side of a semi truck, according to the State Patrol.

The 61-year-old man’s vehicle crossed all lanes of traffic after hitting the left-hand barrier, stuck the left side of the semi truck, and stopped on the right shoulder of the freeway about 10:30 a.m. near South 376th Street, deputies said.

Details about the driver’s condition  tonight were not immediately available. The truck driver was not injured.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
