Crews responded to a fire in a commercial building at 54th Avenue East and 12th Street East in Fife this afternoon.

An automatic fire alarm notified firefighters of the blaze at 4:01 p.m.

They arrived to find smoke coming from the building.

The fire was contained to part of the structure that appeared to be a break room, Tacoma Fire officials said.

A sprinkler system controlled the blaze.

No one was injured.

The cause remains under investigation.

The business was closed today, and nobody was there at the time of the fire.
