walmart_groperFederal Way police are searching for a man who allegedly groped a 12-year-old girl shopping with her mother in Walmart on Sunday.

The man walked into the store at 34520 16th Avenue South and appeared to target the girl. Police said he groped the child as he passed her in an aisle.

The girl’s parents and store security followed the man through the store while someone called police but he was able to drive away before officers arrived.

He is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 7 with a chubby build, black hair and glasses. He was wearing a black trench coat. His vehicle was dark-colored with a sunroof.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call detective Matthew Leitgeb at 253-835-6783.
