A teenager pleaded not guilty today to charges that he was involved in an armed robbery in Lincoln Park Saturday night.

Stephon Green, 17, is one of five teenagers charged with first-degree robbery and attempted robbery after a group of four friends was held up at gunpoint about 9:20 p.m. near South 35th Street and South Thompson Avenue.

Green was charged as an adult due to the seriousness of the crime and his age, prosecutors said.

A sixth suspect, who victims said pulled a handgun, fled when approached by officers and has not been found.

Noel Sao, 18, pleaded not guilty to the same charges as Green Monday, and three 15-year-olds were charged in juvenile court.

The suspects took one wallet in the robbery after asking for “everything,” prosecutors said, which was returned to the owner.

Four of the five arrested admitted to gang affiliations, according to charging papers.
