OdomPuyallup police are searching for a 30-year-old armed man suspected of robbing a man who gave him a ride to a convenience store Feb. 6.

Stephen H. Odom III is known to frequent the Puyallup area and was last seen wearing jeans and a dark-colored puffy jacket.

Capt. Scott Engle said Odom met the victim during a party at a Sumner hotel about 5 a.m. Wednesday and asked for a ride to the 7-11 store at 941 South Meridian, Puyallup.

Odom allegedly robbed the man at gunpoint, making off with his wallet, checkbook, $500 cash and a computer. He fled in a waiting early to mid-2000s metallic white or silver Dodge Durango.

Police said they don’t know who the driver was, but they were clearly in on the robbery.
