A candlelight vigil Saturday in Spanaway will mark the anniversary of the disappearance of Chris Virdell, who was 18 when he went missing from a friend’s home Feb. 9, 2012.

The 5 p.m. vigil will last about two hours at the powerlines at 45th Avenue East and 224th Street East in Spanaway, where Virdell was last seen.

Virdell is described as a white male, 5 foot 6, 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

He was described by co-workers as a perfect employee who never missed work, according to Tacoma Pierce-County Crime Stoppers.
