34th streetA fire that ignited at a Tacoma home late Saturday caused $104,000 in damages, the Fire Department reported.

Crews responded about 10:25 p.m. Saturday to a house in the 600 block of E. 34th Street and found heavy flames coming from the back porch. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.

No one was home when the fire started. Investigators said the cause is undetermined but several butane containers stored on the back porch helped fuel the flames.
