Puyallup police dog finds felon hiding under mobile home porch

puy dogA Puyallup police dog led officers to a wanted felon hiding beneath a mobile home porch early this morning.

The dog, Maverick, was assisting Pierce County sheriff’s deputies find the felon, who was believed to be in the Meridian Mobile Estates in the 200 block of Meridian Avenue Southeast.

When police knocked on his trailer about 1 a.m., the man fled. Maverick and his handler were called in and the dog tracked the felon to a nearby mobile home, where he was found hiding under the porch.

The man was taken into custody.
