A 15-year-old boy suspected of shooting at rival gang members during a brouhaha at a McDonald’s restaurant in Parkland could be charged Thursday.
The teen, who authorities said has at least one prior conviction for weapons charges, is being held at Remann Hall Juvenile Detention Center.
The shooting occurred about noon Monday at the McDonald’s in the 11000 block of Pacific Avenue. A 15-year-old boy was shot in the hand. No other injuries were reported.
Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said the involved parties are not cooperating with detectives. The incident appeared to involve up to 10 gang members who had a personal quarrel.
A .22 caliber rifle was recovered but another two to three guns are believed to have been used.
