Oregon State Police said they recovered 14 pounds of marijuana from a 36-year-old Parkland man’s vehicle during a traffic stop early this morning.

Police did not specify why they stopped the man on northbound Interstate 5 south of Wilsonville. They said a drug detection dog found the marijuana – worth about $30,000 – in the man’s 1999 Honda Civic.

He was arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession and distribution of a controlled substance and booked into the Clackamas County Jail.
