A man who led Tacoma and Lakewood police officers on a pursuit late Tuesday was eventually arrested at his home, police said.

Officers first noticed the man driving recklessly in the 960 block of S. Sheridan Avenue. Police tried to pull him over but the man allegedly kept going, weaving in and out of traffic and running red lights.

Tacoma police ended the pursuit when Lakewood officers began chasing him at the city line. Lakewood police also terminated the chase moments later.

Officers ran the vehicle’s license plate and discovered it was registered to a felon with an assault conviction. They went to the man’s house and arrested him on suspicion of eluding and reckless driving.
