The State Patrol is looking for witnesses to two drive-by shootings that happened in Tacoma early Sunday morning, one at the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and the other on northbound Interstate 5.

A minivan was hit about 4:15 a.m. while heading east on state Route 16 between the bridge and North Jackson Avenue, according to the State Patrol.

No one was injured.

About 30 minutes later, a full-size sedan was shot multiple times on northbound I-5 between South 56th Street and South 38th Street, troopers said.

No one was injured.

The State Patrol is still investigating whether the shootings are related, trooper Guy Gill said.

Anyone with information is asked to call State Patrol Detective Vic Mauro at 253-538-3176.

Specifically, troopers are looking for witnesses who may have heard gunshots or seen anything out of the ordinary at the times and locations of the shootings, such as pedestrians or vehicles parked on the side of the roadways, Gill said.
