King County prosecutors have charged a man with third-degree assault for allegedly punching and head butting a police detective who tried to stop him from intimidating a witness at the Kent courthouse.

Bail remains at $20,000 for Aydriana Holloway. He is set to be arraigned Jan. 28.

Prosecutors said in court filings Holloway is a flight risk. At the time of the courthouse brawl, Holloway had a warrant for failing to appear on a theft charge.

“The defendant brazenly assaulted a police officer in the middle of a courthouse,” they also argued.

The incident happened Monday at the Regional Justice Center. Holloway, the detective and other witnesses were there to testify in a drive-by shooting trial.
