A brief worship service will be held Saturday where 22-year-old Tyliah Young was found dead Sunday.
The service will be at 11 a.m. on the alley side of 1238 S. Ainsworth Avenue and is open to the public.
The Associated Ministries program, called Moments of Blessing, is meant to “reclaim spaces” where homicides have happened and to support the family and friends of the deceased, according to the organization.
The site will be marked with bamboo poles that have red and purple ribbons.
Young died of multiple gunshot wounds, the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office said today.
Tacoma police have said they’re investigating her death as a homicide.
She had two daughters and aspired to be a nurse.
