Kent Police called off the Amber Alert announced earlier tonight after finding Anh Nguyen-Duffy safe in the care of “a known person,” according to a police media release. She has been reunited with her mother.

Police are still searching for the girl’s father, Hung Bao Nguyen, who is wanted on suspicion of harassment, second-degree arson and assault. Police said Nguyen is likely still driving the Ford F-150 mentioned in the original alert, and they urge citizens not to approach the man directly. Instead, call 911.

An Amber Alert for a 8-year-old Kent girl last seen Wednesday morning remains active as of Friday evening.

Authorities are searching for Anh Nguyen-Duffy, reportedly taken by her father Wednesday during a domestic dispute. The girl hasn’t been seen at school since. The alert seeks her father, Hung Nguyen, 37, believed to be driving a black 1998 Ford F-150, license plate B27504V.

Authorities have no photo of the father; he is listed as 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 145 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. The girl is 3 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 45 pounds. She has straight black hair with red highlights – she was last seen wearing a white jacket, jeans and green shoes.
