SeaTac detectives say two trailers and a box truck stolen last month loaded with 7,000 game consoles have been found, but with no electronics inside, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
The Wii products, worth $2 million, were stolen Dec. 15 or 16 from a warehouse in the 19100 block of Des Moines Memorial Drive in SeaTac.
The box truck was found Dec. 19 parked near a Fife warehouse, and the business logos had been removed from the vehicle.
One of the trailers was found in Auburn Dec. 30 near South 277th Street and D Street Northwest, and the logos and vehicle identification number had been painted over. “S.S. Trans” was painted on the front instead.
The other trailer was found Jan. 2 near Carson, Calif. in the same condition.
The reward in the case is now $10,000, due to donations from private businesses.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
