A masked man robbed a Key Bank in the 3900 block of North 26th Street this morning, according to Tacoma police.
He entered the bank at 11:25 a.m., demanded money, and yelled at the teller to hurry, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.
The suspect did not show a weapon or imply that he had one.
“I think just by his demeanor she (the teller) felt fairly threatened,” Cool said.
The man demanded $50 and $100 bills, and pointed to a particular drawer, Cool added.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 5 foot 11, medium build, with a long blonde beard.
He wore blue jeans, a green shirt, a plaid coat with a dark blue hood, blue gloves and a red mask that had slits for his eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers at 253-591-5959. Tips are anonymous, and callers can receive up to a $1,000 reward.
