Renton police seek information on New Year’s Eve shooting

Renton police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the person who shot and critically injured a 27-year-old man New Year’s Eve.

The shooting occurred about 7:45 p.m. in the parking lot of the Summerhill Apartments, 10415 Southeast 174th Street.

Police said the victim called 911 to report he had been shot in the stomach while driving his white 2009 Hyundai Sonata 4DR into the complex from the entrance off 106th Place Southeast.

He is in critical but stable condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call detective Edwards at 425-430-7632 or via email to cedwards@rentonwa.gov and reference case number 12-13565.
