FOUND: South Kitsap teen missing since Wednesday afternoon

UPDATE: Boyd was found unharmed about 3 p.m. in a recreational facility in Port Orchard, deputies said, and has been returned to his mother.

INITIAL POST: Gabriel Deshawn Boyd, 13, has not been seen since about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at East Port Orchard Elementary School at 2649 Hoover Avenue S.E., according to the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.

Boyd was reported missing early this morning from a family residence on Southeast Horstman Road in South Kitsap.

He family said he left his mother’s home to visit with a friend, and did not return, according to the sheriff’s office.

Boyd is 5 feet, 2 inches and 130 pounds.

He is thought to be wearing black jeans, gray Vans shoes, and a black sweatshirt with bluish-stripes and built-in ear buds.

The sheriff’s office search and rescue crew has been coordinating search efforts from South Kitsap Regional Park at Jackson Avenue Southeast and Southeast Marbeth Lane.
