Puyallup police arrested a suspected car prowler early this morning after a resident spotted the man trying to open car doors in the parking lot of the Hampton Apartments.
The prowler, dressed in dark clothing, was spotted just before 1 a.m. in the parking lot of the Hampton Apartments, 2509 S. Meridian.
He tried to flee when police arrived, but officers arrested the 36-year-old man.
Capt. Scott Engle said burglary tools like a pry bar and bolt cutters, as well as “jiggle keys” used to steal cars, were found on the alleged prowler.
He also had two warrants for unrelated incidents, Engle said.
