UPDATE as of 9:54 a.m.: The man’s Dodge pickup truck was found in Sultan, King County sheriff’s spokeswoman Cindi West said. Authorities said a man’s body was found next the truck and he appears to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

INITIAL POST: King County sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man suspected of ramming his truck into his ex-wife’s Kent home early this morning and shooting her in the hand before fleeing.

The incident happened about 3:30 a.m. in the 15300 block of Southeast 307th Street, spokeswoman Cindi West said.

The man, who has not been identified, was driving a black Dodge Dakota with Washington license plate B78258F. He backed out of the house and drove away.

His ex-wife was wounded in the hand. The couple had been divorced for some time, West said.

West says there were three children in the house, ages 10 to 18. Two escaped out windows. One called 911.
