A winter weather advisory has been issued in Tacoma and Puyallup as up to two inches of snow falls, according to the National Weather Service.
The advisory expires at noon.
As temperatures creep back into the 30s late morning, the snow is expected to melt off but could still snarl morning commutes.
The forecast calls for rain between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. with a high near 39 and 7 to 13 mph winds this afternoon. The snow level is expected to rise to 600 feet. Rain will likely continue through the weekend.
