Snow means late start or closure for many Pierce County schools

Due to snow, several schools are affected this morning. Here’s a list:

  • Bethel School District will start two hours late. There will be no preschool or half-day kindergarten.
  • Cascade Christian School will start two hour late.
  • Concordia Lutheran will start at 10 a.m. There will be no pre-kindergarten or morning childcare.
  • Dieringer schools will start two hours late.
  • Eatonville School District will start two hours late. It will not have morning kindergarten or preschool programs. Buses are operating on snow routes.
  • Fife schools are closed today because it was early release. District offices are open.
  • Franklin Pierce School District will start two hours late. It will not have preschool or Head Start programs.
  • Orting School District will start two hours late.
  • Puyallup School District will start two hours late. Chief Leschi Schools are closed.
  • Sumner schools will start two hours late and will not have morning preschool.
  • Steilacoom schools will start two hours late and buses operate on snow routes. There will be no morning or afternoon preschool and no afternoon kindergarten. Morning kindergarten attends two hours late for full day.
  • White River School District will start two hours late. It will not have morning preschool programs or half-day kindergarten.
