No one was injured this morning when a bus carrying 34 children crashed on its way to an elementary school in Kent.

The accident happened about 9:10 a.m. at the intersection of Southeast 270th Street and 124th Avenue Southeast. Police said icy conditions contributed to the crash.

Firefighters used an emergency door on the side of the bus to get the children out because the bus’ main door was blocked by the ditch. Another bus arrived to take the kids to school.
