UPDATE as of 4:17 p.m. All lanes are open, according to the State Patrol.

INITIAL POST: Drivers should expect delays on southbound Interstate 5 by L Street East, where a bus-semi crash is blocking several lanes of traffic, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A bus contracted by Amtrak due to a rail line closure and a semi truck collided just before 3 p.m., according to Tacoma Fire.

A car cutoff the semi, the semi hit the car, and the bus then hit the truck, according to the State Patrol.

One person was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, Tacoma Fire said. No one else was injured.

Crews used the jaws of life to move the steering wheel to make it easier for the bus driver to get out of the wreck.

40 people were on the bus, according to the State Patrol.
