The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning in Tacoma, Olympia and Shelton through noon today.
Forecasters said 20-30 mph winds will gust up to 60 mph this morning. By mid-afternoon, the winds are expected to diminish to 15-30 mph gusting up to 45 mph.
Power outages, downed power lines and toppled trees are possible. Power outages have been reported in Gig Harbor, Auburn and Federal Way.
