UPDATE as of 6:45 p.m. The dispute involved two couples who were moving items from one storage unit to another, Fulghum said.

When the two men started arguing, one of the women went around to the other unit, he said. She heard a gunshot and returned to find that her husband had been shot and the other couple had fled, Fulghum said.

Officers have identified the pair that left, know what they are driving, and are searching for them, Fulghum said.

UPDATE as of 5:20 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound, and a woman who was with him, police spokesman Mark Fulghum said. They are looking for a man who is the suspected shooter who fled the scene, Fulghum said, who they believe is the cousin of either the woman or the injured man.

INITIAL POST: Crews are treating a patient after being called to 12th and Sprague for a reported shooting, according to Tacoma Fire. The patient’s condition is not yet known.

Tacoma Police officers are on the scene at a storage facility in that area.

Further details are not immediately available. Check back for updates.
