Pierce County burn ban lifted

Pierce County’s burn ban has been lifted as of 9 a.m.

The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency issued the Stage 1 burn ban Sunday due to air quality concerns. Stagnant weather conditions and rising air pollution prompted the ban. Those conditions were expected to change late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
