A man fatally shot in Lakewood earlier this month has been identified as 32-year-old Jaime Diaz-Solis by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Diaz-Solis, who lived in Lakewood, was fatally shot in the torso the night of Nov. 12 at the Greenwood Apartments in the 5300 block of San Francisco Avenue Southwest, police said.

Officers arrived and performed CPR on Diaz-Solis, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

A statement from the Lakewood police after the shooting said illegal narcotics were found in the victim’s apartment, and that it’s possible drug trafficking played a part in the shooting.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police at 253-830-5000 or the tip line at 253-830-5064.
