Central Pierce Fire & Rescue is collecting donations at all 12 of its stations (Station 70 is not staffed) for the next two weeks to support victims of Superstorm Sandy.

The project, called Seattle to Sandy, is specifically targeting members and retirees of the New York City Fire Department and their families who were affected by the storm.

The goal is to fill a 52-foot trailer set for New York.

The goods will be distributed by Friends of Firefighters, a nonprofit created in response to 9/11.

The organization has a list of items needed to support victims of the storm.
