A 21-year-old was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly assaulting a teenager with a 2-liter bottle of soda.

Tacoma Police were called to the 800 block of South Vassault Street about midnight for reports of two people fighting at a birthday party.

Officers arrived to find a 14-year-old boy with a laceration, and booked the 21-year-old for investigation of second-degree assault.

Police said the 21-year-old had been fighting two intoxicated juveniles.

The 14-year-old was treated at a local hospital and released, police said.
