A spiritual gathering will be held this morning outside the South Hill house where a woman was fatally stabbed last month.

The Moment of Blessing for Joyce West will take place at 10 a.m. in the 13000 block of 158th Street Court East. The site will be marked with red and purple ribbons.

The ceremony is open to the public.

West was killed Oct. 27. Her daughter has been charged with the slaying.

The Associated Ministries sponsors the Moment of Blessing ceremonies at locations in Pierce County where homicides have occurred. The ceremonies are intended to provide support for the victims’ families, friends and the community where the crime took place.
