Federal Way school bus-car crash sends one student to hospital with minor injuries

UPDATE as of 4:40 p.m. from Federal Way police: The crash was a head-on collision between the bus and a black Honda Civic. The two adults in the car were also taken to the hospital with injuries. There were 51 students on the bus.

The adults suffered minor injuries, according to South King Fire & Rescue.

INITIAL POST: One student is being transported to the hospital with minor injuries after a school bus-car crash in Federal Way, according to South King Fire & Rescue.

The crash happened in the 29500 block of 9th Avenue South about 2:50 p.m.

The bus was coming from Nautilus K-8 School, according to Federal Way Public Schools spokeswoman Diane Turner.

She said parents have been notified of the accident and where they can pickup their children.
