A Lacey man was sentenced to 2 years, 5 months in prison Monday for weapons and drug charges, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
U.S. District Judge Benjamin H. Settle also sentenced Dartania Davis, 34, to three years of supervised released. Davis pleaded guilty in August to possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Davis has prior convictions for assault, drug possession and illegal gun possession.
The FBI South Sound Gang Task Force began investigating Davis in May. When they discovered he no longer lived at the Pierce County address he reported and had not informed his probation officer of the move – a violation of his probation – agents arrested him in Lacey.
A search of his car uncovered a 9mm semi-automatic pistol and 60 pills.
