Pierce County prosecutors have charged a man and two teens with holding up a cell phone store in Lakewood last weekend.
The incident occurred Sunday at a T-Mobile store in the 9200 block of South Tacoma Way.
On Wednesday, the alleged robbers – Alexander Tyson, 24; Christopher White, 17; and Mickel Shepherd, 17 – were arraigned and pleaded not guilty to first-degree robbery with a deadly weapon enhancement.
Prosecutors said Tyson threatened the store owner with a knife.
Bail was set at $250,000 for Tyson; $25,000 for White; and $10,000 for Shepherd.
Charging documents gave this account:
The three men entered the store wearing masks and gloves. Tyson pointed a knife at the store owner’s stomach and demanded phones. The victim reached out to grab the knife and cut his hand.
The victim then pointed the trio to a cabinet where the cell phones were kept and they took 10 before running out of the store.
Witnesses directed police to the men, who were arrested.
