UPDATED: Crews fighting Prairie Ridge RV/mobile home fire

UPDATE as of 9 p.m. The fire was brought under control and crews are now cleaning up, according to East Pierce. Investigators believe the fire started when a resident was fueling the motor home, but the cause is still being determined, East Pierce said. The fire spread to and damaged a single story home. No one was injured. The motor home is a total loss.

INITIAL POST: Crews received a report about 6 p.m. of a Prairie Ridge mobile home fire in the 21600 block of 120th Street East, according to East Pierce Fire & Rescue.

Firefighters were told that the blaze started in an RV and spread to a mobile home.

Upon arrival, both were on fire.

No one was in either structure when crews arrived, according to East Pierce.

Firefighters were still working at the scene as of 7:30 p.m.
